The Museu de Ceràmica de Barcelona was founded in 1966, and since 1990 has been housed on the first floor of the Palau de Pedralbes, a 19th-century palace set among parkland which was extended and converted into a royal residence between 1922 and 1924.
Housed in a Renaissance building that formerly belonged to the Guild of Master Shoemakers, the Museu del Calçat showcases an unusual collection of shoes and tools used in the trade.
