ROSSO Amargo in the Liceu
The Gran Teatre del Liceu was built in 1847 and is a unique cultural facility in Barcelona and one of Europe’s leading opera houses. Located on the Rambla, every year it hosts major opera and ballet productions and symphony concerts. The building was destroyed by fire in 1994 and reopened in 1999 after a magnificent reconstruction.

- The artist Rafael Amargo presents his double speciality of dancer and choreographer in his new show, Rosso.
- Rosso is the result of the blend and fusion of music and images from southern Italy and Flamenco tradition and Spanish contemporary dance, as indeed the names of the cast would suggest, with Lola Greco the leading performer.
- New, original music has been composed for the show by prestigious artists as Nunzio Areni’s original idea for the show was.
- This music lays the foundations for Rafael Amargo's choreographic work and the videoprojection show, bound together on stage by Mario Gas.
- Performances: Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 August at 9 pm.
