Helen Keller, a muller marabilla?Theatre and shows
05/09/2024 - 05/19/2024

The life and struggle of the American deafblind activist Helen Keller is the main theme of the new play by the Galician company Chévere. The show integrates both spoken and sign language on an equal footing, and confronts hearing people with the reality and marginalisation of deaf people. Keller was the first deafblind person to earn a degree from Harvard in 1904. It seems that part of the collective story that is told about her is false, and this play helps us to discover other unknown facets of her life. The performance is in Spanish and, on Saturdays, in Galician.
