Penedès Grape Harvest Festival
The grape harvest festival is the period during which the tradition of wine producing is celebrated. During the weeks of the harvest, you can find out all about the vineyards, wineries and their wines throughout the various wine production regions of Catalonia. These celebrations give rise to a variety of activities: guided visits of the wineries, getting to know about and taking part in the wine-making process, wine and cava tastings combined with the sampling of delicious locally produced food and other activities. The European Heritage Days 2025 will take place on 10, 11 and 12 October, with the participation of more than 300 municipalities across Catalonia. Throughout the weekend, museums, monuments, historic sites and archaeological remains will open their doors and host free activities to bring cultural heritage closer to the public. The programme includes guided tours, themed routes, family workshops, concerts, exhibitions and theatre performances.
This year's edition is framed under the motto “Architectural heritage: windows to the past, doors to the future”, highlighting the richness and diversity of architecture as both a testimony of the past and an inspiration for the future.

Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya
Inaugurated years ago as the world's first film festival dedicated to the fantastic genre, today it's become the region's biggest celebration of the moving image. The picturesque seaside town of Sitges, 30 minutes down the coast from Barcelona, hosts hundreds of films from around the globe, including animation, rom-com and gangster as well as its core themes of gore, horror and fantasy.
Running in parallel to the screenings are exhibitions, master classes and Q&A sessions, special events focused on television series, the chance to see films using virtual reality technology, plus a crowded Zombie Walk through the streets of Sitges. -
The 28th edition of the Fira de la Mediterrània de Manresa is shaping up to be better than ever. Once again, this festival manages to keep its essence as a performance market with its roots in the Mediterranean tradition and introducing different artistic languages: visual arts, circus, dance, exhibitions, music, oral storytelling and theater.

The textile tradition of Igualada in the 19th century left an industrial neighborhood, the Rec district, full of factories. The Rec. O Experimental Stores initiative takes up the tradition and reinvents it through a temporary transformation. Over four days, the industrial areas will become pop up clothing stores where top brands will display their goods and samples at one-off prices. This circuit will also feature Rec Street Food, with food trucks, and the Rec Music Festival which will put on concerts throughout the different spaces.

Halloween at PortAventura World
From 20 September to 11 November 2025, the PortAventura World resort transforms to celebrate Halloween. The theme parks fill with delightfully terrifying characters and spooky decorations, including giant pumpkins, misty paths, and corners full of cobwebs, creating a unique atmosphere of mystery and excitement.
The Halloween special features highlighted shows such as The Emperor's Curse, an immersive experience based on Asian legends, and Halloween Parade, a parade with live music and spooky characters throughout the park. Other shows include Vampires, a musical in the Far West for the bravest families; El Día de los Muertos, celebrating Mexican traditions with a spooky twist; and Halloween Factory, combining acrobatic acts with a Halloween theme in the China area.
For thrill-seekers, PortAventura World offers several haunted attractions: La Muerte Viva, featuring catrinas, ghostly mariachis, and mummies; Angkor, the Legend of the Cannibal King, set in the China area; The Cursed Island, at Caribe Aquatic Park; and (REC) Experience, based on the famous horror movie. These attractions can be visited individually or together with the Halloween Passport to experience the full fright and fun.

Festival de la Velocidad de Barcelona
Motor sports and speed lovers have an appointment to unleash their adrenaline. The Festival de la Velocidad, the Barcelona Speed Festival, is hosting an intense weekend of races. More than 200 cars and around 300 drivers will be roaring around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya track. The festival includes the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, with the best GT races in the world. Once again, the Festival will be supporting the Legado María de Villota, a charity initiative to help children with neuromuscular diseases.
